As a 49ers fan, you might want to go to this weekend’s NFC Championship game between the Niners and Seahawks on Sunday, January 19 at CenturyLink Field in Seattle, Washington, but thanks to the Seahawks, Niner fans have been banned from buying tickets.
Tickets went on sale at 10:00 am, January 13 and the Seahawks indicated on their website, 44 states, including California, have been blacklisted from buying tickets. The only eligible states to buy include: Washington, Oregon, Montana, Idaho, Alaska and Hawaii. Canadian residents are also eligible to buy tickets.
If you attempt to buy from California, you will be denied at checkout based on your credit card billing address. The only loophole is buying from outside vendors like Ticket City, which means paying premium prices for tickets or finding someone with an acceptable billing address to buy your tickets.
